Congratulations to Catherine Fowler for winning the Gold medal and to Nathaniel Stokan for winning the silver medal at the Brock Open in St. Catherines on the weekend. We are all very proud of you both!!

This year, once again, the London Fencing Club was well represented at the Queen's Open with six fencers having travelled to Kingston to compete. There was a lot of great fencing over the two day event, with nail bitting matches and excellent skill level.

Noah Stokan fenced in his first fencing tournament at the Milton Youth Epee Cup. He had many exciting bouts especially the one where he tied the match up with just seconds to go, and won in overtime in a dramatic fashion! We wish Noah lots of success in future tournaments.

Andrea Csiba left her mark at the Toronto Open 2014 tournament winning third place in Senior Women's Épée. The Toronto Open was the first tournament in the 2014-2015 season.

Congratulations to Catherine Fowler and Hillary Elliott for winning 2 medals each at the Ontario Summer Games in Windsor, On, on August 7-10. We are all very proud of Hillary winning the Silver and Catherine winning the Bronze medal during the individual competition, and Catherine winning the Gold with Hillary winning the Bronze medal during team competition. Congratulations ladies for the awesome results and for representing the London Fencing Club so well! Looking forward to watching you in competition in the upcoming fencing season.

We have now moved to our Summer location, which is Boyle Community Center (530 Charlotte St, London). Advanced practices resume on Thursdays and Sundays at the same time. The Wednesday intermediate class has been moved to Thursdays 6:00 - 7:30. A beginner class will also be starting on Thursday July 10th. Boyle has air conditioning, windows and lots of space, so make sure to come out and fence with us! I am looking forward to lots of summer fencing! If you are interested in checking out what we do, don't hesitate to do so, drop us a line before coming and we will make sure to have equipment for you to try fencing!

Five London Fencing Club fencers competed at the Canadian National Championships on May 16-18th at the Rexall Center in Toronto. One former member, Loup - Yann Ferre also competed and won the bronze medal!

We all wish Hillary Elliott the best of luck as she competes in Europe at the World Championships and Junior Internationals in Pentathlon. We are proud of you!
