The Eastern Canadian Championships, held in Toronto from April 29 to May 1 2016, had a large number of categories, with seven London fencers competing across three divisions.
Nathaniel Stokan doubled up, competing in both the Junior Men’s Epee and Cadet Men’s Epee, where he achieved 8 th and 13 th respectively.
Many female fencers participated in the Senior Women’s Epee. Special shout-outs go to top-ten placers Andrea Csiba and Karen Laansoo, who ranked 9th and 10th, respectively. Andrea defeated all the competition in her poules and came out ranked in third. She fenced fellow London club member Lauren Pasma in her first DE, and suffered an unfortunate loss in her second.
Also fencing in Senior Women’s were Catherine Fowler (19th), Alexandra Zanina (24th), Latisha Laing (27th), and Lauren Pasma (29th).
